“Ask the Bishop” – A New Video Series Just for Kids

On Saturday, June 6 at 10a.m., the Diocese of North Carolina is planning to launch a new summer video series just for kids – but we need your help to make it happen!

“Ask the Bishop” is all about answering the questions on the minds of children, whether it’s about God, the Bible, the wider world or anything else. As questions are received each week, Bishop Sam Rodman will record a video answering those questions, and each week’s video will be shared diocesan communication channels on Saturday morning.

The series is intended for kids aged 12 and under, so let’s help the kids get those questions to the bishop! There are several ways you can do it (all can be sent to [email protected]):

  • Simply send the question from the child you’re helping
  • Have the child write the question (or draw a picture), take a photo of the drawing, and send it to us
  • Record a short video of the child asking their question and send it to us.
However you send us the question, please be sure to include the child’s first name and age. No last names or church identifiers will be used in the videos.

Questions received by noon each Wednesday will be used for that week’s video (ex. questions received by June 3 will be used for the June 6 video, questions received by June 10 will be used for June 13, etc.).

If you have kids, send us their questions! If you know kids, share the news of this series created just for them and encourage them to share what’s on their minds! Every child has a curious mind, so let’s encourage them to “Ask the Bishop!”

Please note: All submissions on behalf of the children must be done with parental/guardian permission. When parental/guardian permission is granted, it is with the understanding that the child’s question, artwork or image will be used for the video series, which may be shared on any and all diocesan communications channels, including social media.
