The Rev. Pat Grace Called as Interim Rector at Emmanuel, Southern Pines

The Rev. Canon Pat Grace has been called to serve as the interim rector of Emmanuel, Southern Pines. Grace served most recently as interim rector of St. Stephen's, Durham, and has served the Diocese in a number of other interim rector calls.

Prior to her ministry in North Carolina, Grace served as the Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of East Tennessee. She has also served as a rector and associate to the rector in the Diocese of Atlanta. Grace holds a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary; a Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University. Prior to being ordained a priest in 2005, she worked in senior executive positions with United Way in Tennessee, Michigan and Illinois. She has also led the Center for Women in Transition in Holland, Michigan, and served as project director for Life Management Consultants in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Grace has consulted widely in the non-profit sector, advising on strategic planning, community organizing and leadership development. She is also a graduate of the Haden Institute’s three-year spiritual direction program.

Everliving God, strengthen and sustain Pat, that with patience and understanding she may love and care for your people; and grant that together they may follow Jesus Christ, offering to you their gifts and talents; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
