The Diocese Gives Thanks for the Ministry of the Rev. Sarah Hollar
The Diocese gives thanks for the ministry of the Rev. Sarah Hollar, departing rector of St. Mark's, Huntersville. Hollar has been the rector of St. Mark's since 2005 and has been actively involved in the life of the Diocese, serving on the Diocesan Fair Shares Appeals Board, Swindell Speakers Fund, Diocesan Standing Committee and as a General Convention deputy. Formerly, she led a chartered committee on global mission and served as a Diocesan Council member, Department of Congregational Development chair and Companion Diocese Committee chair to Costa Rica. We wish Sarah and her husband, Peter, Godspeed as they head off on new adventures.
Gracious God, we thank you for the work and witness of your servant Sarah, who has enriched this community and brought gladness to friends and family; now bless and preserve her at this time of transition. Guide her in the continued use of your gifts. Give her sustenance for temporal and spiritual needs, friends to cheer her way, and a clear vision of the ministry to which you are now calling her. By your Holy Spirit be present in her pilgrimage, that she may travel with the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
