The Diocese Gives Thanks for the Ministry of the Rev. Pat Grace

The Diocese gives thanks for the ministry of the Rev. Pat Grace, retiring interim rector of St. Stephen's, Durham. Grace also served recently as an interim rector here in North Carolina at Holy Trinity, Greensboro, and Good Shepherd, Raleigh.

Prior to her ministry in North Carolina, Grace served as the canon to the ordinary in the Diocese of East Tennessee. She has also served as a rector and associate to the rector in the Diocese of Atlanta. Grace holds a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, a Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University. Prior to being ordained a priest in 2005, Grace worked in senior executive positions with United Way in Tennessee, Michigan and Illinois. She has also led the Center for Women in Transition in Holland, Michigan, and served as project director for Life Management Consultants in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Grace has consulted widely in the nonprofit sector, advising on strategic planning, community organizing and leadership development. She is also a graduate of the Haden Institute’s three-year spiritual direction program.

We wish Grace every blessing as she begins this new chapter in retirement! Thank you and Godspeed!

O heavenly Father, Shepherd of thy people, we give thee thanks for thy servant Pat, who was faithful in the care and nurture of thy flock; and we pray that, following her example and the teaching of her holy life, we may by thy grace grow into the stature of the fullness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
