Steps for Organizing and Planning a Mission Trip
- Contact the Charter Committee on Global Missions Chairperson
- Organize a local committee
- Meet with a member of the GMC
- Inform Bishop of Diocese receiving mission trip
- Plan an exploratory trip to study options
- Develop plan for mission trip
- Consult with on-site coordinator
- Inform congregation/convocation
- Raise funds
- Set date for trip
- Organize materials, supplies, etc.
- Study resources/guides
- Consult with GMC
- Report back to Charter Committee on Global Missions and evaluate trip
