REFLECTIONS OF THE BISHOP OF NORTH CAROLINA

BISHOP CURRY SUPPORTS HOUSE OF BISHOPS ACTIONS
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
I am writing to you from the Spring meeting of the House of Bishops held March 16 – 21, 2007, at Camp Allen, Diocese of Texas. As I am sure you are aware from the Episcopal News Service reports, the House of Bishops has approved several ‘Mind of the House’ resolutions and statements responding in part to the recent Communiqué issued by the Primates of the Anglican Church at Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Below you will find links to four actions of the House of Bishops:
1) The ‘Mind of the House’ resolution
2) A Request of the Archbishop of Canterbury
3) A statement of the House of Bishops to the people of the Church
4) A message from the House of Bishops to God’s People
Bishop Marble and I have been directly involved and active participants in this process. We fully support and endorse these resolutions, statements and messages as reflecting our convictions as your Bishops and those of the House of Bishops.
During this Holy season as we approach the cross and the empty tomb, I pray the blessings of our crucified and risen Lord on you, the church, and the world in which we live.
As always, I remain,
Your brother in Christ,
+Michael
