The United Thank Offering (UTO), begun in 1889, encourages an awareness of the abundance of God’s blessings through daily prayers and offerings of thanks. The offerings are then collected, primarily during parish "ingatherings" on two designated Sundays each year, one in the spring and the other in the fall. Offerings from around the nation are pooled and, after a rigorous grant review process by a national committee, distributed annually for projects benefiting dioceses throughout the Anglican Communion.

The diocese’s one-of-a-kind UTO offering plate was made from silver and gold jewelry donated by the women of the diocese, and is available for use during parish ingatherings. UTO Coordinator Alice Freeman can offer instructions on how to reserve the plate for use in a parish.
