St. Mark's Rebuilds After ArsonDamagesChurch

Building Dedication Sermon Dec. 6

St. Mark's Church in Wilson is extending an open invitation to the Diocese for a building dedication service on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. Arson had completely destroyed the Parish and caused significant damage to the Sanctuary, said Alice Freeman, a member of St. Mark's, but the congregation was able to pull together with tremendous help from others.  "We just can not thank the people in this Diocese enough for all of their help and prayers. We would like to show them how we have rebuilt, and that we are stronger now than ever," said Freeman.

Everyone is welcome to attend the dedication, which will feature liturgy by the Rt. Rev. Michael B. Curry. For more information about the event, contact the Rev. Philip R. Byrum at 252-243-7095.
