We are asking that you set aside November 18-20, 2009 for the next gathering of the Sudanese Leadership Institute.   The twenty-five participants who gathered in May 2008 experienced the value and importance of joining together as clergy and lay leaders around the common concerns of the Sudanese communities across the US. We were blessed to have the Most Rev. Daniel Deng Bul Yak, Archbishop of Sudan spend time with us and encourage our ministries. 

We all know that each of our ministries is a struggle every day, pastorally because of the many challenges that our people face in adjusting to life in the US, internally because people are not used to working together, and externally because Sudan seem to be on the brink of the civil war resuming and so many relatives of our people have been killed since January or among the quarter million that are once more displaced.
